  • At the Gala of Hope hosted in Nairobi on December 10, 2025, Mariam Issoufou was honored with the 2025 UN Champion of the Earth award for Entrepreneurial Vision. The award is the UNEP’s highest environmental honor.

  • Prix Roux-Dorlut is an award given by the Académie d’Architecture (France) as part of its annual distinctions. It recognizes architectural work distinguished by the quality of its design and, especially, its relationship to a site and landscape.

  • The Azul Zero Awards are given to individuals and organizations for their work in environmental sustainability. At the ceremony held in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Lanzarote, the jury acknowledged Mariam's work for its "extraordinary contribution to contemporary architecture" and her "ability to transform, through respect for tradition and the use of local materials, the lives of entire communities. Your work is a powerful example of how architecture can be at once sustainable, social, and profoundly human."

  • Mariam Issoufou was awarded the Architizer Impact in Design Award which recognises architects whose work forms a catalyst for positive change.

  • The Aga Khan Award for Architecture is given to projects that set new standards of excellence in architecture, planning practices, historic preservation and landscape architecture.

  • The Royal Institute of Canada named Mariam Issoufou as one of their 2020 Honorary Fellows. The fellows exemplify the tremendous impact that architects have—not only on the built environment—but public life and the world around them.
