Rolex mentor Sir David Adjaye and protégé Mariam Kamara have reveal plans for mentorship at the 16th International Architecture Venice Biennale. The duo is to create a new cultural centre in Niamey, Niger that meets local needs.

After winning the LafargeHolcim Gold Award for sustainable building for Africa and Middle East, our Religious-secular project in Niger has now won Silver in the Global Competition for LafargeHolcim. Rolex has announced four new mentors and protégés for the prestigious Rolex Arts Initiative. In the architecture category, Sir David Adjaye was selected as mentor and Mariam will be his protégée in 2018-2019.
