The Red and Grey Matter: New Architecture in Africa is a documentary on West African architecture commissioned by DW.
Mariam Issoufou was one of several African architects interviewed in a new documentary by DW called The Red and Grey Matter, New Achitecture in Africa. The documentary follows the completion of the Francis Kéré-designed, Goethe-Institut in Dakar. The documentary follows the work of architects in Dakar, Niamey and Accra, looking at their use of earth as a climate-friendly alternative to grey concrete.
